ELL Performance Gap by Board

Comparing % at Level 3/4 between all students (overall) and English Language Learners (ELL/E1) — 2024–25. A larger gap indicates ELL students are significantly further behind the board's overall average.

ELL subgroup counts are often small, making gap estimates noisier than overall achievement figures. Boards with fewer than ~30 ELL students may show large apparent gaps driven by sampling variability rather than true differences. See measurement reliability for details.

Overall vs. ELL — Dot-Pair Chart

Sorted by overall L34%. Larger separation = larger ELL gap.

ELL Gap Size (Overall − ELL)

Larger bars = greater gap between all students and ELL students. Sorted by gap size.

Red dashed line marks a 20 pp gap (high risk); orange marks 10 pp (medium risk). Boards with no ELL data for this subject are excluded.
